Gerald R. "Jerry" Hink, 86, of Syracuse passed away on Wednesday at St. Camillus after a brief illness.
He was born on August 22, 1928 in Binghamton son of the late Howard and Elizabeth Hink.
He retired from Verizon with over 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, he was a private pilot, an avid golfer, reader and enjoyed sailing with his family.
Surviving are his beloved wife Patricia of 48 years, 2 daughters; Kirsten (Walter) Darby, Heather Carter, all of Raleigh, NC, 3 grandchildren; Jessica, Dalton & Ava Elizabeth, his brother, Vernon Hink of Cary, NC, along with several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
