Gerald L. Harshberger

Gerald L. Harshberger, 90, of Cicero, passed away September 8, 2023, just a month after his 90th birthday. Jerry was born in Waverly, New York on August 8, 1933 to Lavere and Marjorie Harshberger. Jerry joined the United States Airforce, serving his country during the Vietnam Era from 1961-1965. He was a strong believer in Christ, singing in churches and choirs. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, cooking and spending quality time with his family. Jerry lived a long and happy life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavere and Marjorie Harshberger.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara L. Harshberger; two sons, David H. (Dorothy) Harshberger and Philip M. Harshberger; two daughters, Debra L. (Dana) Brown and Lisa C. Harshberger; 10 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; and 3 Nieces and Nephews.

Calling hours will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 6-8PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, where a memorial service will follow at 8PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Huntington's Society of America.
