Jerry, 68, of Bridgeport died Sunday at home from complications of a stroke. Born in Syracuse, Jerry was a veteran of the Marine Corp. A "True Marine", he served in Japan and lived everyday "The Marine Corp Way". He taught all of his children honesty, integrity and your word is your bond. Jerry was a member of the American Legion. Jerry was one of the highest donors to the American Red Cross, he made 320 donations (40 gallons) which may have saved 960 lives. Jerry is predeceased by his mother; Doris, father; Gordon Sr., brother; William and grandchildren, Nicole and Dakota Belair.

He is survived by his wife; Patricia (Young) Belair, sons; Richard Belair, Gerald (Kris) Belair Jr., Lawrence (Chris) Belair, Edward (Jocelyn) Belair, daughters; Debbie Belair (Shari), Sheree (Shawn) Ferguson, 10 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, a brother; Gordon Belair Jr., and sister; Beatrice (Arthur) Mills.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 9 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, James St., East Syracuse. There are no calling hours. The family will receive friends at their home on Damons Point Rd, Bridgeport, following the service.
