Georgena B. Gates, 61, formerly of Canastota, passed away on Monday at University Hospital. She was born March 6, 1951 in Savannah, GA. She worked at Carrier Corp. for several years. Georgena liked to travel, dance, she was an ordained minister and a Reiki Healer.
Surviving are her son, Corey Gates, 2 step daughters; Kimberly R. Cunningham, Cheryl Wright, a sister, Patricia Brown, several grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse with sharing of fond memories after calling hours.
Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
