George T. Farrar, Jr., 72, of Liverpool, passed away on Friday at the VA Hospital. He was born on October 3, 1939 in Syracuse, son of George, Sr. and Helen Faustman Farrar. He served in the US Air Force from 1956-60 and retired as an executive agent for Teamsters Local 317. On October 6, 1990 he was married to Ruth Vaughn.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth, sons; David and Michael Farrar, daughter, Karen Howard, step-sons; Derrick and Kurtis Silvester, step-daughters; Jacquie Silvester, Karen Hamilton, step-father, Albert Darling, brother, Ken (Doris Mae) Farrar, sister Gerri (August) Smith, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wed. from 4-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Graveside services will be held on Thurs. 11 am at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
