George Laurence Snyder, Jr.

George Laurence Snyder, Jr., 70, a lifetime Syracuse resident, passed on from this life on January 28, 2021.
He was born on January 23, 1951 to Chloe Terry Snyder and George Laurence Snyder, Sr.
Friends and family knew him to be a kind, compassionate man with a fine sense of humor.
George graduated in 1969 from Jamesville-Dewitt High School and attended both Marquette University and Syracuse University. During his high school career, George played football, baseball and was a member of the wrestling team. He was very proud to have been a part of the Undefeated 1968 County Championship Football Team. As a lifelong sports enthusiast, George held a special place in his heart for Syracuse University sports. He also served as a high school football referee for more than 20 years and was a member of Beaver Meadows Golf Club for over 25 years.
George enjoyed a long career in the banking industry, having served as Vice President at both Keybank and M&T Bank.
Survivors include his former wife, Deborah Denman Snyder; son Gregory Snyder (Emily); daughter Kimberly (Joshua) Silva; grandchildren Maya and Conor Snyder and Chloe Silva; brother, Alan Harold Snyder; and sister Chloe E. Snyder.
He was predeceased by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
