George Kane, 85, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Born in Solvay, George was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy. He retired from Syracuse University.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edith Kane; son, Tom (Karen) Kane; grandchildren, Matthew (Lacey) Kane and Melissa Kane; Great granddaughter, Kelsey.
Services will be Friday, 9 AM at St. John the Baptist, 406 Court Street, Syracuse. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, NY.
The Kane family would like to acknowledge the loving care given to George by St. Joseph's Hospital, especially the ER and Unit 2-8.
