George L. Monnet

George L. Monnet, 93, of Syracuse, passed away May 6, 2024. George was born in Ogdensburg, New York on August 27, 1930 to George and Hilda Monnet. George retired from Carrier Corp, after 33 years of service. He enjoyed his years following retirement in Florida with his wife of 68 1/2 years, Margaret. George was a proud Father and Grandfather and cherished his time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Monnet; father, George A. Monnet; mother, Hilda Monnet; and sister, Gloria Arquette.

He is survived by his two sons, Michael K. (Kathy Brennan) Monnet and Stephen D. Monnet; two daughters, Peggy A. (William) Finch and Karen E. (James) Lathrop; six grandchildren, Denise Bajish, James Evans, Christopher Monnet, Stephen Monnet, Victor Monnet, and Jonathan Finch; fifteen great -grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Services will be held privately.
