George A. Davies
May 31, 1926 — November 8, 2020
George A. Davies, age 94 of North Syracuse, NY passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Davies; son, William Davies; and his siblings, Dorothy, John, Robert, Phoebe and Jane.
George is survived by his children, John (Cindy) Davies, Sue Runyon, and Joan Jeffries; grandchildren, David, Katherine, John, Elizabeth, Emily and Ben; and two great-grandchildren.
George was a 1943 graduate of Eastwood High School and then went on to proudly serve in the US Navy. He met the love of his life, Eleanor while in the Navy, then later married and started a family. George went on to work at New Process Gear for over 40 years before retiring.
He enjoyed reading, bowling, golfing, spending time at the family camp on Cazenovia Lake, and bingo and trivia in his later years. He loved spending time with his family especially family vacations.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CNY SPCA.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 10 am to 12 pm, with a funeral service to follow at 12 pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, N. Syracuse, NY.
George will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memory Gardens after the funeral service.
