George B. Fay Sr., 79, of N. Syracuse passed away Saturday. Born February 14, 1932, he was an Honorable Discharged Army Veteran and served in Germany. George grew up in the valley and worked for Fidler Trucking and then he worked for himself. He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Fay, parents, George and Elsie Fay, sister, Elsie Ann Francis, grandchildren, Chad and Kimberly Fay.
He is survived by his first wife, Janet; his children, David, Gina Scaia, George B. Jr, Darlene Cashin and George C; siblings, Georgette, James and Sandy; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse. Military Honors will follow at 7 p.m.
Contributions can be made to Home Health Aides of CNY or Navac Ambulance.
