Genevieve Y Spytz

Genevieve Y Spytz, 85, of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday at Crouse Hospital after a brief illness. Genevieve was born in North Victory, NY on January 30, 1936 daughter of the late Norris and Dorothy Smith. Genevieve was owner of the Anchorage Bar & Lounge in Bridgeport for many years. She was in two golf leagues and was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed going to the casinos and boating with her husband Jim and Christmas time.
Genevieve was predeceased by her brothers, William Smith, George Smith, Norris Smith, sisters, Harriet Rodgers, Barbara Moore, Margaret Gorgoni and Shirley Hover.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Spytz, 3 sisters, Mary (Rolland) Schmidt, Esther Remington, Dottie (Frank) Lammana, her close niece, Robin Richmond, and other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday July 18th at 1pm at the South Shore Rod & Gun Club.
