Genevieve M. Burns

Genevieve M. Burns (Jenn), 59, of Chittenango, passed away suddenly on November 3, 2023. Genevieve was born in Syracuse, NY on June 20, 1964, to Kenneth and Genevieve Johnson. Jenn happily devoted her entire life to being the most protective, compassionate, loving mother, grandmother and fur mom imaginable. She enjoyed so many things including fishing, puzzle books, gardening and crafts, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her closest loved ones.

Her children were always her whole world and her grandchildren were the crowning accomplishments that completed her. She was always willing to help anyone in need and had a special place in her heart for rescuing abused pets.

Jenn was predeceased by her first-born baby son; David Jr.; her parents, Kenneth and Genevieve; sisters, Barbara, Linda and Nancy.

She is survived by her daughter, Valerie; son, Zachary; Grandchildren, Devin, Cierra and Alivia; brothers, Kenneth and Keith; sisters, Shirley and April; Fur-Babies, Lexi and Rosie; Grand Fur-Baby, Felix.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 3 - 5 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, Syracuse, NY 13212.
