Gary A. Vail, of North Syracuse, passed away March 26, 2024. Gary was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 9, 1962 to Robert and Frances Vail.

Gary graduated from Oliver D. High school on the Northside of Pittsburgh in 1981. He went on to graduate from Duff's Business Institute with a degree in Business Management and Fashion Design in 1984. He worked as Buyer for Macy's and as a manager for Gap Inc., Walmart, Walgreens, and many other retail stores.

Gary spent his free time with his wife and best friend, Laurie, of 24 years. He enjoyed shopping, music, fishing, listening to his daughter sing, and watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Stealers. Gary had a great sense of humor, loved to pull pranks, and laugh. He loved to sing and did several performances in High school.

He is survived by his spouse, Laurie Vail (Snyder); daughter, Brianna Goettel; son, Jared Vail; sister, Katherine D. (Lester) Longmire; brother, Erick S. (Donna) Vail; and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Vail, 11; mother, Frances V. Wade; father, Robert T Vail, Sr.; and brother, Robert Vail.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 705 N. Main St North Syracuse, NY from 12 to 3pm
