Gary L. Downs, AKA "Downsy",61, of Central Square, passed away on Monday at the VA Hospital. He was born June 8, 1951 in Syracuse, son of Richard and Pearl Downs. Gary served in the US Army and retired from Service Liquor in Liverpool.
He LOVED riding his HARLEY and made numerous donations to the VA Hospital.
Surviving are his daughter, Alysa Downs, his son, Gary C. (Nicole Schell) Downs, former wife, Lisa Downs, mother, Pearl Downs, sisters; Linda (Peter) Kimball, Renee (Jeff) Badgett, brother, Richard (Patricia) Downs, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Richard L. in 1989.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will be held on Friday 10am at the funeral home. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
All Bikers welcomed.
