Gary D. Barrett

Gary D. Barrett, 72, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday with his loving family by his side at St. Joseph's Hospital. Gary was in the United States Marine Corps where he drove tank. He was an avid Yankee fan and loved John Wayne movies. He worked at Can Man Depot for several years. He was predeceased by his parents Clyde Barrett and Amy Willard, his sister Kathy and his nephew Michael.

He is survived by his loving companion April of over 40 years, his children, Gary Barrett, Jr., Amber Barrett (Kat), Amy Barrett (Jason), his granddaughter, Zariah Gary, several other grandchildren, brother, Michael Barrett, his sisters, Trudy, Patty & Barbara, nieces, nephews, his close family friends and extended children.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
