March 7, 1945 — July 4, 2019

Gary P. Alchesky 74 passed away on July 4, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

Gary proudly served in the Navy on the USS Rushmore before starting his own electrical company Anaphase in which he ran for several years. Gary worked for many years at Suny Upstate Hospital until his retirement several years ago.

Gary was predeceased by his wife Helen and his good ol' boy Chewy. He is survived by his daughters Leah, Terri, Teri (Joe), Tami (Bart), grandchildren Conner, Cody, Brendan, Sophia, great grandchildren Xander and Ellie.

Gary loved the outdoors especially while hiking and making trails in the forest and to listen to some good tunes. Gary was known for his love of animals and generosity to those who knew him. Every person that met him enjoyed the conversation as well as the time spent in his company. In lieu of flowers please send donations to a local animal rescue.

Calling hours will take place Tuesday from 3-6pm with a service to follow at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
