Garry R. Batey

Garry R. Batey, 70, of Syracuse, returned to the embrace of the Lord on October 5, 2024. Born in Syracuse, New York, on October 11, 1953, Garry's life was a reflection of love, strength, and cherished memories.

He was lovingly welcomed into this world by his parents, Ranson and Patricia Batey, who instilled in him values that resonated through his life's journey. Garry's warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Garry was preceded in death by his four brothers, Carl Michael (Patricia) Batey, Randy Batey, Thomas Batey, and Willie Jones; and parents Ranson and Patricia Batey.

His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family, including his beloved twin sister, Gayle Batey and his sister, Lorraine Batey; five wonderful nieces, Felicia (Talivo) Salley, Sabella Reyes, Alexis Batey, Selena Batey, and Malaysia Jones; his nephew, Michael (Doris) Biles. Each of them carries forward the laughter and love Garry shared so generously.

Friends and family are invited to honor Garry's memory during calling hours on October 19, 2024, from 11-12PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in North Syracuse.
