Gail F. Howard, 72, of Cicero passed away Tuesday at University Hospital following a long illness. Born in Syracuse, Gail was an Underwriter with CNA Insurance and also worked at Metropolitan, Century and USF&G. His interests included carpentry; bowling and he had a love for Denny's coffee. He is predeceased by his parents; Frank and Florence (Moth) Howard and a daughter; Tracey.

He is survived by his wife: Marsha (Lapham-Unbehend) Howard, his children; Julie Boyd, Lisa (John) Cain, Scott Howard, Deborah Morgan, Matthew (Roberta) Unbehend, Mara Plato, Kristin Unbehend, Kelly, Kimberly, Kathy and Marty, his sister; Donelle Howard, 28 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday at 7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will take place in the spring. Calling hours will be held on Friday, from 4-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.

Contributions may be made to Fyler Settlement Church.
