Frieda L. Bean

Frieda L. Bean, 91, of North Syracuse, passed away March 31, 2024. Frieda was born in Syracuse, New York on March 14, 1933 to John and Minnie Poyner.

Frieda retired from General Motors, where she worked as a Machine Operator. She was a wonderful seamstress, gardener and in her free time, she enjoyed watching the Yankees, Buffalo Bills and SU Sports. Frieda was very involved in her church and giving back to her community. She loved hosting holiday parties with her family.

She was preceded in death by husband, Harold F. Bean; son, Kevin Bean; previous husband, Robert "Pete" Curtiss; mother, Minnie B. (Wortman) Poyner; father, John C. Poyner; brothers, James (Anna) Poyner and John "Jack" (Betty) Poyner.

She is survived by her four daughters, Sandra Bean, Pamela (Bruce) Witherell, Kathy (Gary) Aylesworth, Karen (David) Windhausen; son, Kenneth (Lucille) Bean; eighteen Grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may call on April 6, 2024 from 1pm - 3pm at Faith Journey UMC, 8396 Morgan Rd, Clay, NY 13041, where funeral services will be held at 3pm. With a reception to follow.
