Frederick G. O'Brien, 63, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday after a short illness. He was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Marcella and Robert O'Brien. Fred attended St. Margaret's School in Mattydale and later graduated from Liverpool High School. He worked in the family business at O'Brien Trucking and Brown's Moving and Storage. Fred was a nature lover who liked fishing and watching deer. He enjoyed games, telling jokes and cooking. Five years ago, Fred accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and that changed his life.
He was predeceased by his son, Robert and his brother, Bob.
Fred is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jennie; children, Robert, Sarah, Jacob and Patrick; grandchild, Maeve, and one on the way, Wrenley; also thought of Ava, Shayla, Noah and Weston as grandchildren; siblings, Denise, Colleen (Jim), wife of Bob, Mickey, Pam (Tony), Chuck (Carol) and Patty (Danny); many nieces and nephews; best friend, Patty and "Mom", Dianna.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 25th 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in N. Syracuse. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 26th 11am at Imperfect Church, 4947 W. Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031 with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
