Frederick J. DeStefano Jr., 60, of Cicero, passed away October 14, 2024.
Frederick was born in Syracuse, New York on June 5, 1964 to the late Frederick and Maryanne DeStefano.
A 1982 Henniger High School Graduate, Frederick went on and retired from Syracuse City Police Dept after 27 years of faithful service. After retirement he worked several part time jobs as Airport Security, Gander Mountain and Runnings. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, muscle cars and cooking. He was known for his delicious meatballs, chicken parm and chicken riggies. He had a great sense of humor and loved to play pranks on everyone. Most of all he loved to spend time with his children and wife.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frederick DeStefano, Sr. and Maryanne; paternal grandparents, Neal and Louise DeStefano; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Tobin; aunt, Carolyn J. Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy DeStefano; children, Jessica (Tommy) DeStefano, Anthony (Ava) DeStefano and Alison (Dave) DeStefano; step-sons, Christopher (Amanda) Jackson and Kyle (Rachel) Jackson; sister, Denise (Bill) Rizzo; brother, Steve (Linda) DeStefano; four brothers in law, Harold (Diane) White, Grant (Sue) White, William (Elisa) White and John White; father in law, Harold J. White, Jr.; as well as many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and beloved granddog, Bentley.
Visitation will take place on Friday October 18th from 9-11 AM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial to take place on Pine Plains Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Upstate Cancer Center in memory of Fred.
