Frederick George Chase of Central Square, NY born on December 4, 1935 in Watertown, NY, passed away on August 2, 2024 in Syracuse, NY, at the age of 88 after a brief illness.

Fred was a devoted family man, always putting his loved ones first, whether they were blood relatives or cherished friends. His engaging personality made him well-liked in his community and beyond.

Fred proudly served in the Navy with honor from 1954 to 1962. Post service, he worked as a supervising contractor for several years. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, high school friends (The Manlius Aces) and winters at the Kove Estates in Osteen, FL.

He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Diane Chase, and their children: David (Michele) Chase, Bonnie (Joe) Lopiccolo, Linda (Steve) Salmons, and Clare (John) Haynes. Fred's legacy continues through his grandchildren Catherine Chase, Christin (Scott) Brewer, Thomas (Amber) Haynes, Cassandra Chase (fiancé, Chris Underwood), Michael Haynes (fiancé Carrie McIntosh), Brian (Julia) Salmons, Chase Salmons, and his great-grandchild, Connor Brewer. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Chase, Sister-in-Law’s Sue (Bill) Wademan, Dolly Guernsey, Carol Dippold and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fred's life was a testament to generosity , the strength of family bonds, and the value of friendship.

A celebration of life will be held on August 18, 2024 at Jake’s Grub and Grog, East River Road, Central Square, NY from 12 to 3.
