Frederick Cassidy, 87, of Liverpool, NY passed away on August 18th.
Fred was a Veteran of the US Army. As a young father, he worked for Piels Brewery in Western MA, where he was born and raised. He eventually moved to Liverpool to be part of the team that opened Schlitz Brewery in Baldwinsville, eventually becoming Anheuser Busch. In between the turnover, he worked for Pepsi at Clinton's Ditch. Fred retired from Anheuser Busch in 1993. In 1994, he was sent to Wuhan China to facilitate the opening of another Anheuser Busch Brewery.
Known as Fred, Freddie and Mr. C, he was an avid Red Sox Fan, quick witted, funny and kind. He was loved by all who came in contact with him and would do anything for anyone. Fred's devotion to his wife was most apparent in the years he cared for her as she battled Alzheimer's disease.
Fred was predeceased by his beloved wife Carol and his sister Catherine.
He is survived by his 5 children Linda Houston, Joseph Cassidy (Tamara), Michael Cassidy (Deborah), Karen Miller (Steven), Carolyn Cassidy (Kevin); 6 grandchildren Jennifer, Corey, Katherine, Joshua, Sarah and Kelly; brothers Joseph and James Cassidy; sister Margaret Thompson; and several; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held privately. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
