Frederick A. Redding

Frederick A. Redding, 88, formerly of East Palatka, Florida, passed away on Monday, surrounded by his family in Canastota, NY.
He served in the Navy on the USS Vulcan AR-5 during WWII. He was a Past Commander of the American Legion in Oneida and Sylvan Beach. Fred retired from Hancock Field as a First Assistant Fire Chief.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Carol Howe and second wife, Adrienne Fisher; two brothers, William and James Redding.
Fred is survived by three children, Paula (David) O'Brien of Baldwinsville, NY, Karl (Colleen) Redding of Canastota, NY, and Joyce (Rob) Stadtmiller of Rochester, NY; sister, Ruth Hornyak of Oneida, NY; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial services will be private in Verona Cemetery, Verona, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY.
