Franklin John Long

December 31, 1935 — October 9, 2018

Franklin John Long, 82 of Oswego, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 31, 1935 to the late Elmer and Vivian Long.

He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved woodworking, building airplanes and was a Ham Radio Operator. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

Franklin is survived by his children, Anthony Long, Andrew (Francine) Long, and Rebecca (Peter) Bertone; grandchildren, Colin Long, Seth Long, Anthony Bertone, Santino Bertone and Carmelo Bertone; sisters, Elsie MaGee and Mitzi Foster, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandchild, Isabelle Long and a sister, Janetta Rivas.

Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse, on Monday, October 15th from 1-3pm. Interment will remain private.
