Frank A. "Smitty" Smith, 84, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday November 6, 2022 after a brief illness. Frank was born in Syracuse on September 10, 1938 son of the late Clarence and Harriett Smith. Frank worked at the Syracuse Turner Club. He was an avid Yankee Fan, SU Sports and the Miami Dolphins. Smitty had a great sense of humor. He will missed for all his jokes and laughter.
He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis Smith, son, Craig Smith, daughter, Deborah (Leonard) Walker; 2 grandchildren, Craig Smith, Jr., Michael (Heather) Walker; two great granddaughters, Mikayla, Hayley; 2 sisters, Clara Cooper, Dorothy (Gerald) Lavy, along with nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 4 brothers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 12th from 1-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will take place at a later date.
