Frank M. "Red" Wilkos

Frank M. "Red" Wilkos, 80, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Tuesday. He worked for General Electric in Heavy Military for 32 years and was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, and especially hockey. He coached West End PBA Baseball and Mid-State Youth Hockey. He was an active member of the Liverpool Elks # 2348, Elks Seniors, Local Chapter AARP 243 and St. Joseph's seniors.
Frank is survived by his wife of 57 yrs, Myrtie (Burt); three sons, James (Tammi) Thomas (Cindi) and Christopher (Erin) Wilkos; daughter, Jane (Michael) O'Connor; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Nathan and Emma Wilkos, Jennifer and Kaitlin O'Connor, Brandon and Brittnee Hogan; sister Delphine Lesiak of MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday 10 AM at St. Joseph's the Worker. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse.
