Frank M. (Papa) Casciano, 83, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side. Frank was born October 12, 1927 and resided the majority of his life in East Syracuse while later retiring to Lakeland, FL. Frank was a co-owner along with his family of Leo and Son's Big M Supermarket for over 50 years in East Syracuse. He was heavily involved in the East Syracuse community through various organizations. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a medic. Frank was an avid golfer at Arrowhead Golf Course and enjoyed a good card game with his many friends. He loved spending time with his grandkids on his regular golf cart tours.
Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Phyllis (Locey) Casciano; his daughters, Lynn Anstadt of NJ, Loraine (Jim) Perry of Kirkville, JoLee (Rick) Olszewski of Cicero; his twin sons, Frank (Toni) of E. Syracuse, Larry of Minoa and Randy (Michele Costanzo) of E. Syracuse; 13 grand-children along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.; Frank is also survived by his twin brother, Larry; sisters, Francis Sanson and Carmelina Scarcella all of E. Syracuse. He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Giuseppina, his brother Joseph and sister, Lena Jacopelle and a special nephew, Leonard Jacopelle.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 11AM at St. Matthews Church, East Syracuse. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held prior to the services at St. Matthews from 9:30-11AM.
