Frank E. Bristol, 80, of Cicero, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, with his family at his side.
He retired in 2001 from C&S Engineering in North Syracuse, NY after 15 years. He was a very active member of Beacon Baptist Church as an Usher and filled in as a Flock group leader.
Frank painted the Sunday School Wing with Bible story murals and the mural above the Baptistery. In retirement, he enjoyed building model boats, puzzles and photography (especially of his family).
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Maudrey "Margie" Bristol; a son John (Pamela) Bristol; a daughter, Becky (Todd) Gloska; five grandchildren, Amanda Bristol, Sara Bristol, Micah Bristol, Pfc. Brandon (Jaclyn) Gloska and Breona Gloska; a brother, Theodore "Ted" (Dee) Bristol; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-5PM at New Comer Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, 10AM at Beacon Baptist Church, 4800 Rt. 31, Clay, NY 13041.
Burial will follow at North Syracuse Cemetery.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Faith Promise Fund for Missions at Beacon Baptist Church, 4800 Rt. 31, Clay, NY 13041.
