Frank D. DiRoma, 97, of North Syracuse passed away on Friday at Loretto Nursing Home.
Frank was born on September 26, 1919 the son of the late Dominick and Lena DiRoma.
He served in the US Marine Corps. and fought in the 1st Marine Division at Guadalcanal and the South Pacific. He was a Lieutenant in the City of Syracuse Fire Dept. for 28 years.
Frank also loved to travel and was a wonderful father to his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved grandson, Michael.
Frank is survived by his wife Marie of 64 years sons, David (Deborah), Frank Jr., Stephen, grandchildren, Cheryl, Julie, Thomas, sister, Arlene DiRoma of California, along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. There are no calling hours.
