Francis W. Freebern, 88, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital following a short illness. He was a life resident of Cicero. He and his wife, Mary owned and operated Freebern Family Farms in Cicero and he retired from Syracuse China. Francis was a US Army veteran serving in WWII. He was predeceased by two brothers, Carlton and Ed Freebern.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years the former Mary Falter; sons, Kenny and Lenny Freebern; daughters; Linda (Jim) Hart, Sherry (Jim) Kleinklaus, Sally (Rich) Fadio and Bonnie Freebern; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; as well as siblings, Richard Freebern, Liz Boyke and Joan Coombs.
Calling hours will be from 2-5 pm Thursday, January 13, 2011 at South Shore Association, 6690 South Bay Road. Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to NAVAC or SOVAC.
