Francis L. "Pee Wee" Hughes, age 85, of Liverpool passed away on Saturday at Community General Hospital.
He was born on July 8, 1932 in Ogdensburg, NY, and served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He worked many years as a cement finisher in Syracuse.
Pee Wee was a boxer for many years.
He is survived by his sons, John C. Hughes (Dorrie Maitland), Francis Hughes, Jr., 2 grandchildren, John (Andrea) Hughes, Breane, brother, Robert Hughes, 2 sisters, Phyllis McIntosh, Paula Landingham, great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Wesley, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse, with a service at 11 am at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
