Francis D. "Bug" Lightenfield, 68, of Parish, passed away on Monday peacefully at home. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Francis, Sr. and Georgeana Lightenfield. He served in the US Air Force, he enjoyed fishing, collecting cars and most of all being with family and friends. Francis was a residential drywall finisher throughout the area for many years.

He was predeceased by his sister Clara Raite.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Mary of 13 years, his daughter, Brenda (Robert) Courtright, his son, Francis, III, his granddaughters; Amanda & Megan Courtright, great granddaughter Winter Rose, due to arrive in May, his brother, George (Carol), his sister, Penelope (Richard) Wimmer, along with his brother, Terrance (Diane).

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10-12pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oswego County Hospice.
