Francis Vincent ("Vince") Converse, 85, of Cicero, passed away May 28, 2021, with his family by his side.
Vince was born in Syracuse, New York, on June 30, 1935, to the late LeRoy and Mary Ellen Converse.
Vince served in the United States Air-force and then worked for Conrail as yardmaster for over 40 years.
Vince loved the St. Lawrence River and the cottage he built. He spent many summers enjoying the cottage with his children and grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Joyce Converse, his siblings Robert Converse, Shirley Ward, and Paul Converse.
He will be dearly missed by his children Michelle (Andrew) Aguirre, Susan (Niel) Zuern, Vincent J. (Rebecca) Converse, and James Converse. His grandchildren Elisabeth Zuern, Benjamin Converse, Allison Zuern, Alyssa Aguirre, Elijah Converse, Drew Aguirre, Gabriella Converse, and Lauren Aguirre. And long-time friend Joyce Crump.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 9th at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery 8668 Oswego Road Clay at 11 am.
