Francine A. Dunn (Harmon) 73, of McGraw, passed away January 27, 2024 surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
Born in Syracuse, New York on October 25, 1950 to the late Frank and Elnora Harmon. Fran graduated from Corcoran High School, where she was an honor student and proud colour guard. After school, she married the love of her life, Jim, and they moved to Liverpool where they raised their family. She worked at various jobs until she found her calling, her love for children. She was a caregiver for children over the past 30 years, and retired from Kindercare in Liverpool.
She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband James, who she has sorely missed since his passing in 2016. They spent the past 45 years by each other's side, raising their children, spoiling their grandchildren, dogs, and cats. They had a love like no other, and are together again. After James' passing, Fran devoted all of her time and love into her Grandchildren and her beloved pet dog, Chase. She had a great love of not only her family and friends, but animals. She always wanted to have her own dog kennel, and was a great mom to all of her furry babies.
Francine was preceded in death by her Husband, James Dunn; Parents, Elnora Harmon and Frank Harmon; Brother, Vernon Harmon and Sister, Edith Cooper.
She is survived by her Son, Sean Dunn; Grandchildren, Liam Dunn, Elnora Dunn, Sara Dunn, and their Mother, Alisa Dunn. Daughter, Molly (Peter Tomushunas) Vaughn; Ethan Vaughn, Sean Vaughn, Samantha (Eric) Rowley, Rebecca Tomushunas and Mia Tomushunas; Great Grandchild, McKenna Rowley; Two Sisters, Joanne (Richard) Piazza and Debbie (Brant) Tomushunas, and several Nieces and Nephews.
"There was no bigger or better smile than the one Francine had her whole life. You will be missed on this earth so much, by all who knew you and loved you."
Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse. A funeral service will follow at 4pm. You can view the services live
