Frances Kathryn Albino, 92, of Cicero, passed away on February 15, 2015, at the Elderwood Health Care at Birchwood Facility. She was born in Syracuse and grew up in both Syracuse and Canastota while graduating from Canastota High School. She was a devoted mother and had a career as a popular hairstylist at Edwards and then retiring from The Addis Company at age 70. Frances was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Frank. They enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and in their later years to the Turning Stone. Frances enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Frances is survived by her daughter Margaret (Jack) Venesky; her three grandsons, John (Lorraine), Steve (Allie), and Doug (Jane) Venesky; her great-grandsons Jack and Alex; her brother Frank (Hilda) Loguidice; her sister Barbara (Frank) Detran, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of Frances's caregivers at Elderwood who became her second family while caring for her during her last years.
Calling hours are on Saturday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at New Comer Funeral Home followed by services at 10 am at the St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum, Dewitt.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances's memory may be made to the Patients Recreation Fund of Elderwood, 4800 Bear Road Liverpool, NY 13088.
