Frances E. "Betty" (Drysdale) Evans, of North Syracuse passed away Saturday. Betty was born on June 6, 1920 in Boston. The family then moved to Pompey where she grew up. Betty married her husband, Donald in 1941 and moved to Central Square where they raised two girls. Betty was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1973, her two sisters and two brothers.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Darryl Dee (Bill) Evans and Deborah Lee (Michael) Mickinkle; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild all who love her and miss her dearly.
Services will be Thursday 7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Friday 1 p.m. at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
