Frances I. Ard, 91, who resided at Buckley Landing, North Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at Crouse Hospital with family by her side. She was born in Watertown, NY on May 14, 1921 daughter of Nikolas and Ruth Biosi. Frances was married to Johnnie C. Ard, Sr. for 45 years. Johnnie was a career military veteran and was stationed in many parts of the world. After their military career they moved back to the Syracuse area where they lived the remainder of their lives. Frances was an avid fan of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, loved playing bingo and was a competitive Wii Bowler. Most of all, Frances loved her family and enjoyed cooking and entertaining.

She was predeceased by her husband, Johnnie, in 1991. Surviving are 2 sons: Johnnie, Jr. (Patti) Ard, Michael Ard (Sandy Prior), 2 daughters: Anita Conley (Kevin Stith), Mary (Walt) Hogue, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mary (Lenny) Graves.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 11-1pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Burial will be private.
