Floyd Byron (Pete) Ransom, 88, formerly of Cortland, NY passed away Thursday. Born September 20, 1918 in the town of Fabius, NY he graduated from Tully High School in 1937. A veteran of the Army, he served with the 52nd Medical Battalion in WW II and also in the European Theater of Operation. He retired from Borden's Creamery and Cortland Housing Authority.
He is survived by a sister; Virginia (Chuck) Haines, his brothers; Lawrence of Cortland and Donald of Hendersonville, North Carolina, a good friend Sally Albro and he is predeceased by his companion of many years, Rose Blanche Reynolds.
Graveside services will be in the spring in Tully Cemetery.
