Floyd E. Dyer

January 27, 1924 — November 15, 2016

Floyd E. Dyer, 92, passed away on Tuesday.

He was man devoted to his faith. He loved playing golf as well as fast-pitch softball. He played on a family team with 8 other members well into his 60's. Floyd was a WWII veteran who served in the South Pacific. He was a part of the battle of Iwo Jima.

He is predeceased by his wife of over 30 years, Marie Dyer.

He is survived by his Son, Daniel Dyer; Step-Daughters, Maureen Myers and Janet Furrow; Step-Son William (Christine) Tomeny; Sister, June Boardman; Brother, Edwin Dyer Jr.; Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Sunday, 1-4 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Services will be Monday at 9 AM at the Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Onondaga County Veteran's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Navy and Marine Core Relief Society, NMCRS.org.
