Florence Manzi, 54 of Syracuse, passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Flo will be remembered for her contagious smile, her love of the color purple and butterflies, her beautiful kind soul, and her love and unshakeable devotion to her daughters. She will be greatly missed forever.
To the amazing Hospice of CNY staff, specifically Kim & Kathleen, we can never thank you enough for the unmatched care and dedication you showed during the toughest time in our lives. You were all nothing short of amazing.
To our Angel here on Earth, Kathleen River, you made moms final days full of joy and happiness. She will always keep that twinkle in her eye, just for you.
Florence was pre-deceased by her father, Rocci Manzi. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Sara Pitea (& Keith MacDowell), and Michelle Pitea Hilton (& Garrett Hilton), of Syracuse; her mother Beverly Guinto of Florida, former husband Salvatore Pitea, 4 siblings, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 3-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow. All those attending are encouraged to wear purple.
