Florence Hafner Pearson, 82, formerly of North Syracuse passed on Saturday to be with her Heavenly Father Jesus Christ, after a long illness. Florence was a native of Liverpool before moving to North Syracuse for the past 50 years. She was the daughter of Jacob and Mathilda Hafner who owned and operated the Hafner Farms for 40 years. Florence was a charter member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in North Syracuse.
She is survived by her husband John, two daughters; Diane Evans of Seven Lakes, North Carolina and Nancy Schilling of North Richland Hills, Texas, Five Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at North Syracuse Cemetery. Contributions may be made to NAVAC, North Syracuse Volunteer Fire Department or the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church Children's Sunday School Program.
