It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Fiodor Chinikailo, who went home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2024. He was 73 years old.
Fiodor was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a faithful servant of Christ. Born on April 7, 1951, in Belarus, USSR, he later brought his family to America to forge a new life filled with promise. With unwavering dedication, he worked tirelessly every day to provide for his loved ones and instilled in them the values of faith and devotion to the Lord.
Fiodor embraced life with enthusiasm and passion. An avid beekeeper and honey maker, he found joy in nurturing his hives and sharing the sweet fruits of his labor. Working as an electronic technician for OPEX and formerly Toshiba, he enjoyed fixing various things and, not just at work but at home and wherever anyone needed.
A faithful member of Slavic Full Gospel Church, Fiodor had an unshakeable passion for God's Word. He relished every opportunity to share its truths. His dedication to preaching God's word was not just a calling; it was a profound expression of his love for God and commitment to his faith.
Above all, Fiodor's greatest joy came from being with his grandchildren. His deep love for them was evident in every moment they spent together. The bond they shared was a testament to his nurturing spirit and unwavering devotion to family.
Fiodor is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Chinikailo, and his cherished children and their spouses: Inna Ranieri (Brad Ranieri), Olga Chinikailo, Ivan Chinikailo (Olya Chinikailo), Maria Yankovski (Stephan Yankovski), and Rufina Shevchenko (Sergey Shevchenko). He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren: Gianna and Maya Ranieri; Maksim and David Chinikailo; Anya, Ezra, Meira, and Lea Yankovski; and Fedor, Serge, and Veronika Shevchenko.
Though our hearts ache deeply, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in the loving arms of his Savior, enjoying the riches and glory of Heaven, having received his reward for faithfully running his race on earth. He will be reunited with great joy with his beloved son, Valentin Chinikailo, who tragically passed away in 2023.
A memorial service to celebrate Fiodor's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Slavic Full Gospel Church, 3528 East Genesee St, Syracuse, NY. He will be laid to rest at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the North Syracuse Cemetery, 555 S Bay Rd, North Syracuse, NY. We invite all who knew him to join us in honoring his remarkable life and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
In this time of mourning, we find solace in the promise of eternal life and the hope that we will be reunited one day. Thank you, Dad, for your unwavering love and commitment to God, your family, and grandchildren. You will be missed more than words can express, but we rejoice knowing that you are rejoicing in Heaven. We love you.
In lieu of flowers, donations and condolences can be made to his wife, Anna Chinikailo, at 5358 Amalfi Drive, Clay, NY 13041.
