Finest R. Adams was called home suddenly on Thursday. A native of Danville, VA, he was the son of the late, Tom and Dicy Breedlove Adams. Finest retired from General Electric following 35 years of service. He was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He was predeceased by a brother John "Mick".
He leaves to celebrate his life, children, Greg (Ella), Steve (Veronica), Sherman, Philip (Brenda) Adams, Cornelia Adams and Beatrice (Tim) Graves; his former wife, Lottie Adams; he also leaves to mourn him, brothers, Calvin of Danville, VA, Stanley (Bertha) of Manlius, Irvin (Connie) of Phoenix, AZ and Albert (Nancy) Adams of Suffolk, VA; sisters, Virgialena Terry of Syracuse and Rosezenia (Harry) Clark of Danville, VA; sister-in-law, Deloris Adams; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veteran Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.
