Fern Schunck, 80, of Cicero, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007. Born in East Syracuse, she graduated from Minoa HS in 1943. She was employed at G.E. and later retired from B.G. Sulzle. She enjoyed her retirement: spending time with family, sewing, knitting, and traveling to Florida for walks on the beach.
She is survived by her five sons; Daniel (JoAnn) of Binghamton, Stuart of Atlanta, GA, Thomas (Debra) of Brewerton, John of Dunedin, FL and Christopher (Jean) of Austin, TX; her former husband, Daniel of Baldwinsville; four sisters, Oliva Eggert, Beverly Murray both of Camillus, Beatrice Brizendine of KY, Alice Zion of Kirkville NY; four brothers, Antone, Charles and Edward Eggert all of East Syracuse, and David of Camillus; and six grandchildren who loved her very much.
Memorial services will be held at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse on Wednesday at 5:00PM. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday from 4-5PM.
Contributions may be made in honor of Fern to: Upstate Medical Children's Hospital Fund, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
