Felix (Phil) Rivera, 66, of Mattydale passed away Sunday at University Hospital. Born in the Bronx, he has resided in the Mattydale area for 19 years. Felix retired from the US Postal Service after more than 30 years of service and most recently was employed with TNT Bus Service of Syracuse.
Felix is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 25 years Jean, a son Wayne (Terri) Rivera, a daughter Debra Todd, a brother Ralph (Nancy) Rivera, a sister Dolores (Richard) Rodriguez, grandchildren; Jessica Todd and Charles Todd.
There will be no services or calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Central New York Cage Bird Club, Inc., which Phil co-founded in 1990, in care of P.O. Box 5627, Syracuse, NY 13220. Messages of sympathy may be left at newcomerfamily.com.
