Evelyn L. "Evie" Weir, 85, of North Syracuse, passed away Friday with her family at her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to North Syracuse over 50 years ago and worked as a waitress for various restaurants in the North Syracuse area. Evie was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sheri A. Weir in 2002.
Evie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Keith "Doug"; a daughter, Jeri L. Morlock; 2 grandchildren, Matthew (Cassandra) Morlock and Elizabeth (Stephen) Scott; 2 great grandchildren, Nicholas and Gwyneth; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, 6 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St. Spring Burial will be in Hartwick Seminary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Tuesday from 4-6PM at the funeral home, before services.
Contributions in Evie's name may be made to NAVAC.
