Evelyn Bresnahan, 90, of Syracuse, passed away August 13, 2021. Evelyn was born in Lisbon, New York on August 24, 1930 to the late Axel and Helen Bjork.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Julian Ross; and all of her siblings.
She is survived by three daughters, Paula (Don) Thompson, Patricia Bresnahan, and Peggy (James) Chin; 14 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was a long-standing resident of Syracuse known for her big heart and charity towards all. She was proud of her Swedish and Mohawk ancestry. Her home was a place where the homeless and needy were always welcome. In her youth, she was a leader in the local civil rights movement.
Calling hours are Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse with a service to follow.
