Eve Peters, 99, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home, comforted by her devoted family and caregivers.

Ms. Peters was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Pauline and Peter Mirisoloff. She was a graduate of Syracuse University and taught art for 45 years in Syracuse City School District.

Ms. Peters was admired for her generosity of heart and joyful spirit. A lover of nature and animals, Ms. Peters generously contributed to a number of animal welfare organizations. However, her greatest love was reserved for her nieces and nephews. She was considered a second mother by many; eagerly sharing her wisdom and kindness.

Ms. Peters is survived by her nephew and caregiver, Craig Mirisoloff of Syracuse; niece Celeste Mirisoloff & her partner Chris of Auburn Georgia; nephew Darin Marisoloff of Syracuse, Jason (Kathy) Mirisoloff of Victory; niece Stephanie (John) Murch of Rochester, and niece Patty Mirisoloff of Canandaigua. She was predeceased by her brother, Darwin Mirisoloff, in 2004, and nephew, Michael Mirisoloff in 2005.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 5th 12:30PM - 1PM at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse, N.Y.
