Evalyn J. Frazier, 83, of Syracuse, has gone home, on Wednesday. She retired from the Syracuse VA Medical Center with 30 years of service. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Shop Steward of SEIU Local 200 and a very active member of the Presidential Plaza Tenant Assoc. Evalyn volunteered at OCPL at the Galleries. She was an avid reader of mysteries and romance novels and a #1 Yankees fan.
She is predeceased by her husband, John H. Frazier in 1993.
Evalyn is survived by her sons, Alex Frazier and Kurt Frazier (Denise); sisters, Lorraine Scott and Alberta Treadwell; granddaughters, Angela Wilson and Kurtria Watson; great granddaughters, Michelle Works and Margo Hunter; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be Monday, 7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-7PM at The funeral home, before services.
